Te igitur

Te igitur ("Thee, therefore, [most merciful Father]") were the first words of the Latin cf. Mass. Due to the high importance of this part of the Mass, which includes the consecration of the Eucharist, these words were emphasized in particularly splendid artistry: the canon image as well as its own historiated initial.
